A small release before the end of the month adds Quicksearch, along with an improvement to the Layers tools in the StackViewer, and other small fixes.
Quicksearch
Quicksearch allows for speedy search and navigation. It’s invoked either by clicking the magnifying glass icon top right on most pages, or by pressing Command+K (Ctrl+K on PC/Linux) anywhere on the site.
Typing into the Quicksearch box returns search results across Experiments, Projects, and Labs. You can pick a result either with your mouse or with the cursor and enter keys; picking an item will immediately take you to it.
This makes it easy to find items you may have misplaced as your Sundog content grows. With the keyboard, it also makes a really fast way to navigate Sundog, flying from Experiment to Experiment, or jumping between projects.

“Solo” individual Layers
The Layers panel in the StackViewer has always allowed you to toggle the visbility of individual layers by clicking the eye icon beside them. We’ve now added the option to quickly show one layer and no others.
Command-clicking (control-click on PC/Linux) on the eye icon for a layer will make that layer visible and hide all others. Command-clicking a layer when it is the only one visible will make all layers visible again.
“Soloing” individual layers is a great way to compare multiplayer layers in a stack optically, like flicking between pages in a book.

Other small fixes
Along with these features we’ve made some smaller tweaks:
- “page-processing” activities no longer appear in activity feeds. This wasn’t particularly informative in its current form, and just served to add visual noise. We’re looking at ways of more effectively notifying users when long-running upload processing is completed.
- various key software libraries used by the main application and documentation sites were upgraded.
